Venue:

Directions:
Christchurch to the Point via Hororata
Head west along the West Coast Road (SH73), at Aylesbury turn left into Bealey Rd. Drive approximately 26km along (40mins) Bealey Rd until you get to Hororata. At the Hororata roundabout turn left into Cordys Rd. Stay on this road until you reach the end of the Leaches Rd. (NB. Cordys Rd turns into Milnes Rd and then into Leaches Rd. this section of the journey is approx. 22km).

At the end of Leaches Road turn right onto Highway 77 (Raikaia Gorge Rd). Travel along Highway 77 for a couple of hundred metres until you get to the Windwhistle Garage. Just past the Windwhistle Garage turn left onto Windwhistle Rd. Drive along Windwhistle Rd. for approximately 400metres until you reach a stone wall with a sign “The Point Station”.

Instead of following the drive around a corner, carry straight on the farm lane over the paddock and you come to the woolshed.

Via Darfield (The easier option if you are unfamiliar with the area)
In Darfield township turn west (left if travelling from Christchurch) into Highway 77. Continue along Highway 77 for approximately 35km (passing through Glentunnel) until you reach Windwhistle. At Windwhisle Garage turn right into Windwhistle Rd. Drive along Windwhistle Rd. for approximately 400metres until you reach a stone wall with a sign “The Point Station”.

Instead of following the drive around a corner, carry straight on the farm lane over the paddock and you come to the woolshed.
