The Akaroa Farmers Market is open every Saturday from 9.30am to 1pm from October to April.
We are located at St Patrick’s Catholic Church Grounds Akaroa
Banks Peninsula has an abundance of produce and a great micro-climate with lots of passionate gardeners. Our market has locally grown fruit, veges, herbs, honey, olive oil, olives, nuts, plants and flowers plus locally produced preserves, pickles, jams, sauces, bread, pastries, honey, lavender products, baking and more.
Some weeks we have entertainment and activities you can join in with: busking, face painting, portrait drawing, local government consultation, scarecrow making, steampunk fun, drawing and dancing.

Our Story
We are a small group of local folk keen to provide locally grown produce to locals and visitors.
All fees paid by our stall holders go to support our community, so, not only do you buy local, eat fresh, enjoy the atmosphere, your purchase also supports our wonderful community.
