A self contained 2-bedroom nature lodge retreat set on a lifestyle block overlooking, farmland, native bush and the Kaipara Harbour. Wide sweeping natural views with peace and quiet. Light-filled house decorated with calming colours and Rimu furnishings to reflect the natural area we are in. Comfortable and warm, the house is private with two decks to sit on and enjoy the stunning views and birdsong. At night the stars are amazing as we have no light pollution and the call of the native owl (Ruru) can be heard at times. Meals are available if required. We are just 2kms off SH16 and 1km from Mt Auckland.

We decided to turn our minor dwelling into a B&B several years ago as we thought people would like to see how it is living on a fully self contained solar and wind powered lifestyle block. Since we use no chemicals in or on our place people are extremely interested, as we look like a normal house and operate that way too. People can learn about living off the grid and being self sufficient in all aspects. We like to think we are not contributing too much to pollution and are showing others how easy it can be done in life and as a business.
