Driftwood Retreat is a peaceful haven with native trees and birds, yet only 20 minutes from local wineries and the Marlborough Sounds.
The two bedroom cottage is close to our wetland walk and a tidal river where you can see birds such as kotuku and terns in their natural habitat.
Eco-toiletries are complimentary. We clean with ecological products & recycle. The optional breakfast is homemade, wholesome and delivered to your room.
A kayak or walking tour can be arranged at the nearby Wairau Lagoon.

We love to share our beautiful environment on the edge of the Opawa River with our visitors. You can wander along the river edge and around or through our conservation wetland, borrow some binoculars and look for birds such as kingfisher, swan and black fronted tern.
Your private balcony looks onto trees, enjoy your optional homemade breakfast watching the birds.
If you are feeling energetic you can book a guided tour into the near by Wairau Lagoon by kayak, van or on foot. You will hear the stories of the area and learn about the wildlife.
