Severe marine heatwaves, as well as hotter, more acidic waters are on the rise in the latest stocktake of New Zealand’s marine environment.
The new report – Our Marine Environment 2022 – by the Ministry for the Environment (MFE) and Stats NZ, backs up growing research that sea levels are rising fast.
