Background
For its creators, Ecofind has become part of a journey towards a healthier, more sustainable approach to life that began well before 'green' became trendy.
Through two decades of involvement in the construction industry and the adventures of raising a family in Godzone, like many others, we became more conscious of the products we use, the foods we eat, the environments we live and work in - their impact on us and the planet.
The conviction that there are better, healthier and more sustainable ways of doing things - that are readily at hand - inspires us to keep learning and exploring. This conviction was the catalyst to finally make the idea a reality and create this site.
Development
Ecofind is a project in development (beta). We're still refining design and adding functionality as the number of business and organisation listings continues to grow.
As the work continues, one of the greatest rewards is discovering the thriving grassroots eco-movements helping to make Aotearoa, NZ such a great place to be.
Ecofind is a long term project. We're excited about our growing profile in search engine results and about making choices for sustainable living more accessible.

We've begun supporting the Brook Waimarama Sanctuary in Nelson with a donation from our listing subscriptions. Check out the fantastic work being done to restore 715 hectares of former Water Reserve close to Nelson city.
